About Mélanie Pulla
As a passionate herbalist and artisan tea maker, I am devoted to cultivating quiet moments of stillness that help you return to the essence of who you are. Through the alchemy of handcrafted herbal teas and the art of tea ceremony, I offer invitations into self-reflection and gentle transformation.
My love of tea began early in life and wove naturally into a path of herbalism and spiritual inquiry. Formal studies at the California School of Herbal Studies (2000) and the Southwest School of Botanical Medicine (2002) led to a BSc in Wellness and Alternative Medicine from Northern Vermont University in 2006.
In 2008, I journeyed through Southeast Asia, where I immersed myself in tea ceremony, explored tea houses, and visited ancient tea gardens. It was there I encountered the concept of Tea Mind, a quiet presence through tea, which now sits at the heart of my philosophy.
Years later, with my family’s move to Nelson, BC, Water Over Leaves was born. I now dedicate myself to crafting exquisite blends and cultivating spaces of tea rapture.
Through Water Over Leaves, I invite you to experience the quiet beauty and deep coherence that can arise through thoughtfully blended teas and intentional tea ritual.
