Tucked away on an acre of forested land just outside Nelson, BC, the Water Over Leaves Tea Studio is a space for stillness, ritual, and reconnection. Founded by herbalist Mélanie Pulla, the studio invites you to slow down and experience tea as a path to presence, beauty, and healing.

Whether you are drawn to the quiet depth of tea ceremony, curious to explore the sensory world of rare, high-elevation Camellia sinensis, or seeking a personalized consultation to support your wellness journey, this space was created for you.

Offerings include:

  • Tea Ceremony - Studio or In-home*
    $77/person (max 4 people**)
    A quiet, reverent experience where tea becomes a portal to presence, communion, and plant spirit. Choose between a silent, Korean-inspired ceremony or a guided ceremony with meditation, each offered with your choice of herbal or Camellia sinensis. These sessions invite you to slow down, soften inward, and steep fully into the present moment.

  • Tea Tastings
    $55/person (max 4 people)
    Explore a curated selection of artisan teas, from handcrafted botanical blends to single-origin Camellia sinensis. Camellia tastings highlight terroir, tasting notes, and region, while herbal tastings emphasize therapeutic function, nuanced flavor, and the alchemy of thoughtful formulation.

  • Personalized Tea Consultations
    $120 for 1.5 hour initial consultation / $88 for 1 hour follow-up
    Work one-on-one with Mélanie to create a personalized herbal tea blend tailored to your unique needs. With a background in pre-medical science, years of herbal study, and a deep relationship with the plant world, Mélanie integrates evidence-based insight with intuitive attunement. Her approach is both grounded and sacred, crafting teas that are effective, beautiful, and imbued with meaning. You’ll leave with a tea of your choice and receive your custom blend and guided meditation within one week.
