Woojeon Jeju Korean Green
Woojeon Jeju Korean Green
Grown on the volcanic island of Jeju, off the southern coast of Korea, this green tea carries a clean mineral clarity shaped by ocean air and basalt soil. It is a rare offering and one of our most compelling quality-to-price teas.
Crafted in the Japanese style with a brief steaming to preserve freshness, the leaves are then gently finished in rotating dryers, lending subtle depth reminiscent of certain Chinese terroirs. The result is a cup that feels composed and luminous.
From the first sip, you will notice a vivid chlorophyll brightness evocative of fresh grass and sea greens. This gives way to soft, buttery vegetal notes — fiddleheads and tender spring greens — followed by a delicate citrus lift and a lingering, quiet sweetness.
Jeju greens tend toward balance: less grassy than some Japanese styles, less roasted than many Chinese greens. There is structure here, but also ease. A tea that feels steady, clear, and quietly alive in the cup.
