Mim is located in the northern Indian state of Darjeeling. On a clear day, it is possible to see Mount Everest's peak from the town centre. The Darjeeling tea bush belongs to the Chinese Jat genus, which is what gives it its characteristic muscatel flavour. The plants don't develop quickly because the tea is planted at such high altitudes and in relatively chilly climates, so the production is restricted. The 'second-flush' is the best period of the year for quality (end May - end June). Darjeelings are unmatched by any other tea in the world at this time. A diverse bouquet of flavours and aromas reaches out from the cup. Most frequently, it is said to be similar to the flavour and aroma of muscat grapes. Some people might describe the taste as nutty, while others think it reminds them of black currants.
Darjeeling teas are highly pricey as a result of their excellent flavour and small volume of production. There are Darjeeling "blends" since many people want to profit from the high costs. Unfortunately, these blends are frequently very subpar imitations of Darjeeling and occasionally only comprise 10% genuine Darjeeling teas, with the remaining 60% coming from other producing regions. This authentic Darjeeling tea is a true estate Darjeeling.
